THE CHALLENGE
I did this to raise money and awareness for CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA, a national charity dedicated to fighting childhood leukaemia without whom I wouldn’t still be here today.
"I'm trying to raise £250,000 to give others the same second chance at life that I was given when I had my bone marrow transplant."
The challenge got underway on 27th February and will see me cover a grand total of 1061.6 miles over the course of 71 days – an average of 22 miles a day, six days a week - before arriving at Land’s End on Sunday 8th May.
Along the route I visited schools, hospitals, iconic landmarks and city centres to raise awareness of childhood leukaemia and the work of CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA who fund the pioneering scientific research that is saving young lives from this deadly disease.
I haven’t got a fundraising target in mind but would love to raise £250,000 - the amount that it cost to have my bone marrow transplant and all the follow up treatments. Read my story
